Printed designs sit on the fabric. Embroidery lives in it.
A printed graphic is applied to the surface of the hoodie. It looks great on day one, and depending on the method it can fade, crack, or peel over time and washes. Embroidery is different: the design is stitched into the fabric with thread. Run your fingers over it and you feel texture, not a smooth film. It’s the difference between a design that’s on the hoodie and one that’s part of it.
Why embroidery lasts
Because embroidery is thread worked into the garment, there’s no print layer to break down. It handles wash after wash, holds its color, and ages the way a well-made piece should. That’s why our embroidered hoodies — the florals, the hummingbird, the wolf and moon — carry a bit more of everything: more work, more material, more staying power. You’re not paying for a picture. You’re paying for something built to outlast the trend.
How to care for it (so it lasts even longer)
Embroidery rewards a little care. Wash the hoodie inside out to protect the stitching, and never iron directly over the embroidered area. Do that, and the design you loved on day one still looks right two winters later. A good hoodie isn’t disposable — treat it like it isn’t.
